Of light and dark...Of rainy and sunny

I was truly fascinated by what I was able to come up with. A soggy dark day to a sunny one, is just like the color green to the color red. And that's exactly why a rainy day, or cloudy one, can be beautiful. Because ironically enough, a sunny day cannot exist without darkness, or at least a cloudy one. And a dry day cannot exist without a wet one. And this same logic can be applied to many other things. If everyone was in a sad mood, for instance, then there would be no such thing as sadness, right? Because after all we wouldn't be able to compare them to anybody's moods. Perhaps that's why so many things are different in this world. Because there needs to be some means of comparison. Otherwise, if everyone were sad, (or happy), then eventually the term for this mood would probably go away. At least we would not use it anymore. So I would not be happy if, one day, there was no such thing as a cloudy day. Because then we probably wouldn't appreciate those that are sunny! Why do emotions have to be like roller coasters? The weather and mood are associated with each other often times. And once the weather changes, the moods can change. I think it's very neat to think about the fact that emotions or moods are a lot like the changes of weather. Do our emotions actually influence the weather?! All we know for now is that the weather affects our moods. I would like to someday choose a place from which I would take a photo. If it's a sunny day, I will take the same photo during a cloudy day. Then I will have them side by side. And I think of this like I would about contrast. Because when one thing complements another, this is essentially contrast, just not in the typical way. Because typically, we think about contrast as the difference between light and dark. Actually, you know, a cloudy day vs a sunny one really is type of contrast no matter which way you look at it. At times, the world can be downright boring. Again, however, these times are the ones that help us appreciate beauty. And perhaps what could be true about all of this is that we need things that are "light and dark" to be balanced. Again, this doesn't just have to do with light. Another way to think about it is that instead of contrast, it is what we might call difference (I know I've mentioned that before). And beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
